Bungalow 26

One of my favorite areas in town is the Delano District. There’s just so much to do when it comes to entertainment, bars, eating and even shopping. While walking down Douglas, I came across a local boutique I hadn’t been inside. It’s a place many readers have asked to get a quick write-up for. It’s Bungalow 26.

Not only that, but it was another one of those “branch out” type of visits for me. I’ve heard of the place before, but had no idea what they sold or specialized in. I love learning what’s out there in Wichita, so this was a new experience for me. Bungalow 26 is a lifestyle boutique located at 613 W. Douglas, right in the heart of The Historic Delano District. They carry an eclectic mix of products for bath, body, and home. They have locally made goodies like candles, jewelry, clothing, to fragrances imported from France.

Walking into the store, I probably looked like a lost kitten. The staff was extremely friendly in walking me around Bungalow 26 and showing me what they had on hand. For starters, the store smelled wonderful. I don’t know what the scent was, but I was loving it. The candle was called “Delano” or something to that effect. After years spent in my youth in dirty smelling locker rooms, college dorms, fraternities, I wish I invested in some candles like this back then.

Otherwise, there were many great gift options inside; many of which are locally made right here in Wichita. It’s that time of year whether you may be looking for stocking stuffers or filler gifts to people and Bungalow 26 has it all.
