Every single neighborhood deserves a place like MOXI Junction

I love businesses that operate with a purpose to better our community, which is why I revisited MOXI Junction. They are a coffee shop, art gallery and bakery that also serves a strong mission to give those with special needs a chance to make it in the workplace. The name of the business is an abbreviation for Moms of Exceptional Individuals (MOXI). It’s owned by mothers of special needs children and adults who also serve as employees.

Part of the charm aside from their wonderful mission is the establishment itself. It’s bright and colorful inside, with a College Hill vibe. I wish I lived closer to MOXI Junction so I could support the place even more.

The walls are filled with artwork made by the people who the mission supports. Other handcrafted pieces, clothing, local jams, and little toys are on display everywhere and available for purchase.

An inspirational flight of stairs takes you to a space with additional seating perfect for larger groups.

Since I knew I was going to be in the area for part of the day, I brought my laptop with me to get some work done while sipping on a delicious caramelicious latte. And the dad in me couldn’t help myself from purchasing a couple fidget toys for my daughter.

MOXI Junction just reeks of awesomeness. Every single thing about the business from the mission, the atmosphere, drinks and snacks, the people, the service, all the way down to the chill music selection, I’m completely in love with. I’ve said it before, but this is the type of place that belongs in every single neighborhood.
