I wanted to have a little fun with the readers. Every year, the Wichita Eagle publishes their reader’s choice awards. Any sort of poll is sure to draw questions and ire; that’s the nature of any voting. I was curious how the readers here would vote different if I held a similar poll. Many of you cast your votes on your favorites in 52 categories covering food and drink in the Wichita area.
Now that the Eagle’s awards have been announced, I wanted to release the Wichita By E.B.’s People’s Champ winners in the second annual People’s Choice Awards. At the same time, I wanted to compare them to the Eagle’s winners to see what the differences were.
The restaurant/food truck with the most votes was voted the People’s Champ… such a highly distinguished honor!
Who was the People’s Champ along with the People’s Choice finalist in each of those categories?
