An adventure of “Wichita Local Entertainment”

Last month, Dillons released a new set of gift cards centered around local businesses in Wichita. The main selling point of the cards were to encourage others to support local by purchasing gift cards that featured restaurants and entertainment venues around town.

I loaded up on fuel points and got the “Wichita Local Entertainment” card for a night out on the town with the kids.

This gift card is good at Starlite Drive-In, Wichita Sports Forum and Aviate, The Cotillion, The Loony Bin, Wave, and Exploration Place. Let’s cover a couple of the recent visits I’ve had.

Exploration Place

300 N McLean Blvd | 316-660-0600 | Website

Exploration Place is quickly becoming my daughter’s favorite hangout spots. At just two years old, she doesn’t quite grasp what the place is truly about. What I love though is the museum has plenty of hands-on activities to get her brain going. If you’ve never heard of it, Exploration Place is the Sedgwick County Science and Discovery Center. Their goal is to inspire a deeper interest in science through creative and fun experiences for people of all ages.

Whether it’s looking at a recreation of the city, learning how the movement of water works, seeing a tornado, or simply playing in the children’s area, there’s so much to do for all the kids.

@wichitabyebWhat a fun night at Exploration Place! One of our favorite museum stops in town! ##fyp ##science ##Wichita ##kansas ##museum♬ Vegas Lights – Panic! At The Disco

Aviate at Wichita Sports Forum

2668 Greenwich Rd | 316-201-1414 | Website

When it comes to trampoline parks in town, the older kids favorite one is easily Aviate located inside the Wichita Sports Forum. There’s just so much more to do at Aviate than many of the other parks in Wichita. They have foam pits, a trapeze, a ninja course, extreme dodge ball, a super tramp, air dunk and more.

At least one person in our family hosts a kid’s birthday party there. There’s just so much space for the kids to let loose and tire themselves out within an hour or two.

Up next on my list of things to do soon is check out a movie at the Starlite Drive-In.

All the gift cards are available now for purchase at Dillons and can be in any denomination from $20 to $500.

If you’re a restaurant or venue owner and interested in participating in their next round of gift cards, let me know and I can point you in the right direction.
