Checking out the new Asian Big Cat Trek exhibit at the Sedgwick County Zoo

The Slawson Family Asian Big Cat Trek

Asian Big Cat

The beauty of having a zoo membership is being able to always check out the latest happenings at the Sedgwick County Zoo. One of the biggest updates at the zoo is The Slawson Family Asian Big Cat Trek which opened back in September.

Perhaps you’ve seen construction taking place at the zoo over the past year. This more than doubled the square footage of the old Tiger Trek habitat. Now all of the Asian cats are found in one exhibit. The new Asian Big Cat Trek is home to Amur Leopards, Snow Leopards, Amur Tigers, and Red Pandas.

We finally made it out to see the exhibit and loved it. There was so much more space for the animals. It gave the zoo a more modern look; a nice facelift so to speak.

It’s one of those things you have to see for yourself. While the pictures don’t do it justice, take a look:

We spent quite a bit of time within the new exhibit and just loved all the updates taking place at the zoo to make our family membership even more worth it.

The Sedgwick County Zoo is located at 5555 W Zoo Blvd. For more information, visit their webpage or Facebook.
