If it’s one thing you can expect in Wichita, its continual restaurants opening in Wichita.
On the way for 2022 is Dutch Bros. It’s a drive-thru coffee shop chain based out of Grants Pass, Oregon. Started in 1992, they have grown to roughly 500 stores with the closest locations in Kansas City, KS and Stillwater, OK. The model is similar to a Scooter’s Coffee.
Their menu, found here, consists of coffee, cold brews, teas, smoothies, lemonades, and pastries.
Wichita’s first Dutch Bros. is set to be constructed at the southeast corner of 29th and Maize in front of the Hobby Lobby. There will be some built-in competition as a Dunkin is under construction at the northeast corner of the same intersection in front of Sam’s Club.

Hey, I’m a longtime Dutch Bros LOVER from the west coast who has constantly been watching them slowly move east & they are now coming north from Texas & Oklahoma so I can now get my fix when I go to KC or Tulsa, & more to come soon such as this one in Wichita! The “model” does not “compare to scooter’s” other than it’s primarily a drive thru business. The owners & workers are amazing & im sure I’ve been to over 50 different Dutch Bros. I’ve never had bad service or product ever with them. They are very efficient even when the line seems long, taking your orders on a tablet at your car while in line & sometimes bringing you your order before you get to the window. Tons of drinks & flavors on that menu & they are by far the best coffee drinks (& other) ever! Hot, cold, blended & regular, fat free, keto; totally made to order. They opened a scooters near me, I never knew what is was at first, no comparison at all:(( Went 3 times to give it a chance & myself & friends also think it’s awful…Dutch Bros is kind of like a cult following thing in its own; it’s the best!!!! See you there when this one opens!!!!
