Signage for the Derby Jersey Mike’s Sub is now up. It’s just one step closer to the second of the popular sub shop chain to open in the Wichita area.
In recent months, Derby has seen a renaissance of sorts with sandwich and subs shops. They finally netted their first chain not named Subway when Schlotzky’s and McAlisters opened, both on Rock Road. And yes, there’s a Subway on Rock Road as well.
Jersey Mike’s will be joining the fray when they open their store at 1918 North Rock Road next door to Crumbl Cookies.
No opening date has been set, but from what I’m hearing they are aiming for first quarter 2022. I’ll be sure to share more when I hear a firm date.
A third location is also confirmed for 2616 North Maize Road in northwest Wichita. No timeframe has been given for their third store yet.
