O’Malleys Irish Pub remains open despite car crash into building

I’m not sure what’s going on, but cars running to buildings have seemed to occur more this year than year’s past. Most recently, somebody ran into the building of R Coffee House which forced them to close for remodeling.

The latest accident took place last night at O’Malley’s Irish Pub at 2405 W. 31st Street when someone drove into the front of the building. There were questions floating around whether the bar which also serves some fantastic food would remain open.

I spoke to owner, Rob Crandell, and he said they were able to get it patched up and would remain open while they got everything taken care of. Fortunately, it wasn’t enough harm to cause any lost time because that’s the last thing any restaurant or bar would want after the past couple of years.

If you’ve never been to O’Malley’s, they are located at the southeast corner of 31st Street South and Meridian. They opened back in 2012 in the former Boomer’s space. On top of some of the best bar food in town, they are home to 250+ beers, 24 beers on tap and 100+ Irish whiskeys. I highly recommend checking it out.

You can learn more about O’Malley’s by visiting their Facebook page.
