It’s that time of year when people are attending potlucks and asked to bring desserts. Or perhaps, you’re looking for desserts to gift to others. Let me throw a suggestion your way. Yule logs, or just any log from Bagatelle Bakery. Not only are they affordable, but they are extremely delicious.
Just head over and you’ll see a big display case at the west end of the building.
Most of them run in the neighborhood of $2. There’s a strawberry log, lemon log, chocolate hazelnut, mocha log and more to choose from. Oh, and of course, there’s tiramisu.
I picked up whatever they had in stock, and this box ran me roughly $16.
My favorite of all the logs is the strawberry one. It’s probably a top five dessert in Wichita for me; moist, creamy, and so balanced. I’m not a huge icing fan, and Bagatelle Bakery did it just right with not overloading it. Plus if you love strawberry flavor, this is the perfect log for you.
Then again, everything in that case is pure bliss to your taste buds. You can’t go wrong either way.
