Wichita is now down to it’s final Da Chicken Shak & More.
There were rumblings another closing was imminent, and that was finalized as the 343 S. Greenwich location permanently closed. That leaves Wichita with just one store, the original one that started it all at 2428 W. 13th St N. It opened back in 2018.
It’s been a tough couple years for the family who also owns Da Cajun Shak. Owner Tim Granger and his father Chris Granger, both passed away just months apart. They were the two men responsible for starting the Cajun restaurant back in 2005 and then growing their chicken tenders chain into four locations.
I spoke to Tim’s son, Gabe, who assured that the original Da Chicken Shak & More and Da Cajun Shak locations are here to stay.
