I always see important news regarding restaurants. So, I figured why not put a bunch together when I see it for some quick hits on good things to know like temporary closings, hours changing, vacations, openings, etc.?
Cool Breeze Pizza: The Riverside certified pizza spot, Cool Breeze, reopens on Friday, Jan. 21. After being closed for a few months, they are excited to be back. Their hours will temporarily be Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Extended hours once the warm weather returns. Folks can order and have a seat at the R and they’ll bring the food over. They can dine in and grab coffee and dessert after.
Classic Town & Country: The restaurant will be closed starting today thru the weekend and will reopen Wednesday, January 26th. They have decided to do this due to the ramping up of Covid-19 and other illnesses that are currently going around. During this time they will be sanitizing our building to make it safe for our customers and staff to return to next week.
Poppie’s Cafe: Saturday brunch is returning to Poppie’s Cafe. They’ll have biscuits and “sausage” gravy with tofu scramble, a breakfast bowl with crispy seasoned potatoes & tofu scramble, with “sausage” gravy, gluten-free biscuit upon request (as always no extra charge), Apple Fritters & Specialty Donuts & Treats will be available too!! They are located at 9111 E Douglas (just west of Webb Rd inside the Ruffin bldg) 10am-2pm Call.
Vella’s Exotic Egg Roll Food Truck: After being closed for some time due to someone running into their food truck, this inventive and delicious mobile truck is back. The’ll be parked out at Taylor’s Retail Liquor at 4800 W. Central on Sat. Jan. 22 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. They’ll have 5 new exotic egg rolls to try!
Poplar’s Pizza (Andover): Please note that this weekend, Poplar will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday with their dining room open. Then from 4 to 9 p.m., they will be open for takeout and delivery only. Their dining room will reopen from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
