Make way for FioRito Ristorante. The contemporary Italian restaurant is the brainchild of brothers, Jason and Jordan Rickard. They are no strangers to the local food scene. If you’ve ever eaten at such places like Napoli Italian Eatery, Taco Locale, Greystone, or YaYa’s, chances are you’ve had their incredible food.
Now the brothers are stepping out on their own to bring a new Italian restaurant to Wichita.
FioRito Ristorante will be located at 3134 E. Douglas in the former Two Brothers BBQ space that recently closed. At the moment, they are hoping for a late spring opening. It should be a great addition to the College Hill/Douglas Design District area. If you follow their Facebook page, they’ve been putting out little previews of what you can expect.
If you can’t wait until the restaurant opens and want to try their food now, the Rickard brothers are hosting a dinner at Odd Fellow Hall. They will be the feature chefs in the latest installment of the Chef’s Collective dinner on January 29. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and includes an 8-course meal, cocktail pairings and live music. You can get your tickets here. And this is the menu to expect for the special dinner.
