2022 is expected to be the year of boba shops in Wichita. One of the first openings of the year will take place on February 6 when the high-end boba tea and dessert shop, Feng Cha celebrates their arrival to Wichita.
Located at 8007 E. Kellogg inside Eastgate Place, Feng Cha is an international chain that started in China but has since opened many locations in the United States. This will be the first in Wichita.
The teahouse is popular for “dirty” boba drinks, in which the boba is coated and cooked with brown sugar. I’ve heard the crème brûlée dirty boba is the go-to drink. It’s made with cheese milk foam, cocoa powder and topped with a crispy burned cream. Feng Cha also offers classic drinks, such as a matcha latte and Thai milk tea, as well as smoothies.
