The locally owned food product company, Pinole Blue, made their appearance on Shark Tank on Friday night. Owners Eddie Sandoval, Kyle Offutt and their business professor Kate Kung-McIntyre were on the show to try and score a deal with the sharks.
Their ask for was $300,000 for 10%.
The shark on the episode were Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O’Leary, Emma Grede, and Lori Greiner, who all, unfortunately, passed on the deals. They mentioned it was a little too early for them to invest, but provided some words of encouragement for Eddie and Kyle.
Wichita is now 0-2 following another local business, The Scrubbie, unable to score a deal. Regardless, it was great to see a Wichita business on the show who should see a nice boost in business from the appearance.
