When I found out I was going to be a father, the very first shopping excursion my friends told me about was Rhea Lana’s of Greater Wichita, which is a consignment sale that takes place twice a year in Wichita. I’m all for saving money, which is a must if you spend as much as I do on eating out and traveling around Wichita.
I’ll admit, I had some reservations about a children’s consignment sale. But after looking into it more and checking the event out for myself, I was hooked from the start. The Rhea Lana sale offers gently used children’s items that can save you 50-60% off retail price. Over the years, I even started consigning myself and the staff keeps a close eye to make sure everything on the sales floor is of good quality.
The Rhea Lana children’s consignment event takes place twice a year, and the latest event is now taking place at Century II from February 12 to 18. Here are the dates you need to know.
The sale dates are February 12 to 14. Then on Feb. 15 and 16, most items are 25% off. The sale then closes out with a huge half price sale on Feb. 17 and 18.
If you’ve never been, it’s literally a sea of kids clothes, toys, strollers, beds, and anything your child would need (or want). They have all the name brand products. Literally, if you’ve owned something, it’s probably been sold at this event.
We stopped by the pre-sale event and grabbed a HUGE haul of clothes for the spring and summer, more Peppa Pig toys to add to our overwhelming collection of Peppa everything, shoes, and other items that saved us a bunch of money. Not pictured is a Let’s Go Fishin’ game that my daughter refuses to quit playing with even as I type this blog.
For more on the sale, check out the below video or visit their Facebook page. Otherwise, I’ll be headed back soon and may see you there!
