In 2020, the creators of the recipes for Red Beans Bayou Grill brought back their food via take and bake dishes. It was called Red Beans To Go, and their dishes were available at The COOP and Coffee House at 104 N Baltimore Road.
They brought back many favorites, including their Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice with Andouille, Gumbo, Tomato Bisque and Étouffée. Often times, the take and bake meals would sell out at the Coop as many fans who grew up on Red Beans scooped them up.
Unfortunately, it was announced on Friday that the take and bake meal delivery service to The Coop would be no more. What was left in the cooler was the last delivery, and they would not be taking pre-pay or special orders moving forward.
All is not lost though as they will still be catering for meetings, lunches, corporate gatherings and events, but the single serve meals people have been accustomed to is no more.
From their Facebook announcement, it was a tough decision for the family. But with Rick Jeffrey, the creator of all the dishes, battling organ failure, they made the move to stick with catering.
