Journey East Asia Grill is officially closed. The build your own Asian fusion bowl restaurant located at Braeburn Square on the Wichita State campus originally opened in December 2019 just a few months before the pandemic started.
They had no clue what the restaurant industry, and more importantly, the world has in store for them. After multiple closures and the ongoing problems facing restaurants, they decided to quietly closed their door.
I really enjoyed Journey East Asia Grill and the Chipotle concept they had with a mix of Malaysian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean food.
They were an important part of our community when they gave back multiple times to front-line employees during the pandemic. They even offered $5 specials to help with people struggling to find an affordable meal.
