Hong Kong Express is your standard quick-service Chinese restaurant. The experience is about the same as what you find at similar places around town, even right down to the menu. I think they all use the same template to create their menu and just plug in a new logo and name.
We ordered the udon noodles along with some chicken fried rice.
Let me keep this short and right to the point. There wasn’t anything too memorable about the dishes. The portion sizes were great, but nothing stood out in terms of the flavor. Nothing we had gave us the feeling that we had to go back immediately. It felt like a Great Wall to me, which could be a positive for some people.
People who live in the area could possibly enjoy this, especially if it’s a convenient drive. I hate to say all that because the people there were nice and encouraging others to tell their friends.
Here’s our TikTok video on Hong Kong Express.
@wichitabyeb Do all quick service Chinese restaurants use the same menu template? It sure looks that way. #fyp #hongkong #chinesefood #letseat ♬ Summer – Instrumental – Devinney
