One of the more unique food trucks in our local Wichita fleet is Wadadli Island Cuisine. They serve Jamaican food, but the truck had not been out for over a year. During that time, they’ve been doing catering, which left fans wondering if the truck would be back. Good news came this weekend as the truck made their triumphant return.

My brother and I swung by to welcome them back and ordered their Wadadli Jerk Chicken and Island Oxtails.
I won’t waste too much of your time, because we didn’t with the food. It was outstanding. Both options were more than satisfying, and I’m not sure if I could pick a favorite. The jerk chicken had an incredibly flavorful aftertaste that lingered and kept you coming back for more. Meanwhile, the oxtails were as tender as could be. I’ve had oxtails at as many places as possible, and Wadadli’s was definitely up there as some of the best. My brother and I had no problem devouring the meal.
We had an assortment of sides and their salad, red beans and rice and creamy mashed potatoes were probably my favorite.
I hope to see them out at some food truck rallies, as I could easily go for either of those dishes again sooner than later. It’s great to have them back.
Here’s the menu.
