A more affordable movie experience is set to open later this week. Boulevard Theatres has taken over the Warren Movie Machine space at Towne West. Owners have spent the earlier part of this year renovating the space and are now ready to open it to the public.
Located at 4600 W. Kellogg Drive, Boulevard Theatres looks to be one of the staples luring more foot traffic to the mall. A big draw will be prices. In a time when prices for everything seem to be going up, prices here will be very competitive. Evening adult tickets will be $9 + tax, while matinee prices, military and seniors are $7 + tax. Tickets for children will always be $5 + tax. There will be movie Mondays for five dollars at all showtimes. At those prices, I may have to pull my child out of daycare occasionally to catch some movies.
Concessions and drinks will also be available.
Boulevard Theatres will be airing the new Dr. Strange movie on all five screens on Thursday, May 5. Then on Friday, the theatre will have their grand opening with newer showings such as Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and Sonic 2.
They did have a private opening earlier this week. I briefly stopped by and it was cool to finally walk on a theatre floor where my shoes were not nearly stuck to the ground. Let’s hope it stays that way!
I was told the website should soon be done and the ability to purchase your tickets online is also almost complete.
Until then, you can always visit their Facebook or bookmark their webpage. They can also be reached by phone at 844-2583 (BLVD).
