I haven’t been to Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies in a few years. Since then, they closed down a location in Park City and their only brick and mortar left is a standalone kiosk at Northwest Centre at 13th and Tyler. I have fond memories of visiting the one that used to be in Oklahoma. And now, this one location is the only chance to recreate those moments.

The fried pies were $3.79 for sweet pies and $4.49 for savory pies.
We had the pizza pie, bierock pie along with two sweet pies: lemon and peach.
It took maybe ten minutes because we ordered a couple of savory pies that required some heating.
Of all the ones we had, the pizza was, by far, the best. It’s hard to go wrong with anything pepperoni, and that was the main selling point. I’ll say, though, that there was barely any sauce in the fried pie. That would have really helped.
From a texture standpoint, the pies were very flimsy and very flaky. Taking them out of the packaging was a bad idea, especially for the sweet ones, which fell apart even before picking up. We ended up using a fork instead of trying to eat it. I’d highly recommend eating them out of the paper container they come in, which is probably what they would even suggest. The sweet ones were decent; just fried goodness packed with fruit.
The one that missed the mark the most was the bierock. It ended up being dry and lackluster; bland in a nutshell.
Overall, they didn’t quite meet the fond memories we had from Oklahoma. They were decent, at best, but not a place we’d put on our rotation consistently. We won’t rule out another visit as there may be that bit of nostalgia wanting a fried pie. It just won’t be happening anytime in the near future.
Here’s their menu.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
