■ Torchy’s Wichita: Free Taco & Queso Bash | May 19-22
Where: Torchy’s Tacos East & West
Torchy’s Tacos is celebrating the Wichita community and sharing our appreciation the best way we know how: free tacos and queso! From May 19 – 22, both of Torchy’s locations are offering one free taco and one order of Green Chile Queso to every guest that stops by, no purchase necessary. Fans will be able to enjoy Torchy’s world famous queso, along with any taco on the menu, including our May Taco of the Month – The Cougar – made with smoked beef brisket, corn relish, guajillo onion strings, BBQ sauce, chipotle sauce and cilantro on a flour tortilla. Torchy’s Tacos locations are at 2191 N. Rock Road and 2901 North Maize Road.

■ Margaritas and Mojitos 2022 | May 20
Where: Exploration Place
Margaritas and Mojitos is a unique tasting event that features different local establishments in the Wichita Locale serving up handcrafted Margaritas and Mojitos for a chance to win Wichita’s best Margarita or Mojito. Attendees and Judges vote on the best Margarita and Mojito and the establishments with the most votes in each category will receive an award for 1st or 2nd place Best Margarita and Best Mojito (People’s Choice and Judges choice). Only 250 tickets are available.

■ Concert at the Park | May 22
Where: High Park
We’re kicking off the summer season with a Concert at the Park! Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs, and join us at the High Park Amphitheater in Derby for an evening of fun family entertainment, with live music from Countryside’s own Keepers of the Mane, food, games, prizes, and so much more. This is another great opportunity to invite your ONE! See you there!

■ WIBA Simply Social Benefit | May 17

If you or another WIBA business or family were affected by the recent tornado, please let us know by calling or emailing the WIBA office. 316-201-3264 or [email protected] WIBA is having a Simply Social benefit on Tuesday, May 17th from 4-6 pm to help those WIBA members impacted by the recent Andover tornado. We will have Xclusive’s booze truck in the parking lot of the Wichita Boathouse. Join us in helping those that were affected by the tornado, we will be collecting cash donations! There will be food trucks, music and prizes.

■ Paw Patrol Live! | May 17-18
Where: INTRUST Bank Arena
In PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure,” Mayor Goodway is getting everything shipshape for a big Pirate Day celebration in Adventure Bay. When Cap’n Turbot falls into a dark and mysterious cavern, it’s PAW Patrol to the rescue! Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky and Zuma save Cap’n Turbot and discover a secret pirate treasure map that leads them on an epic adventure.

■ 1 Million Cups | May 18
Where: Groover Labs
1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.

■ 2022 Anniversary Film Series | May 19
Where: Wichita Orpheum Theatre
The Anniversary Film Series is our monthly series of films celebrating a major anniversary. Films are screened at 7pm one Thursday a month.

■ Amber Waves Beer, Wine & Food Tasting Tour | May 20
Where: Historic Delano District
Unique shops in the Historic Delano District open just for Amber Waves participants. At each location, participants enjoy a tasting tour of a sample of craft beer from LDF, a sip of wine, and a delicious tasting from local restaurants.

■ Kansas Grown Farmer’s Market | May 21

■ Steampunk Weekend | May 21
Where: Old Cowtown Museum
Break out your best bib and hold on to your penny farthing (you know, those huge wheeled bicycles) as Cowtown travels to the days of future past. Encounter live steampunk music and performers of the steampunk variety. Throughout the day there will be costume and best mask contests, and numerous photo opportunities!

■ Purple Party | May 21
Where: WAVE
Come celebrate the life and times of PRINCE. One of the greatest musicians to ever walk the Earth. Join us May 21st at WAVE @ 7 P.M. With DJ CARBON and special guests on the decks spinning hits from Prince’s entire catalog and all your other favorite songs from this era. We will also be featuring a booth garden with local merchants, a live art exhibition, and food by Adios Kitchen.

■ Play on a Plane | May 21
Where: Kansas Aviation Museum
Play on a Plane! This is your chance to take a walk through some of the planes on the ramp including: KC-135, Boeing 727 (FedEx), Boeing 737, Beech Starship. Activities to include: Children’s crafts and activities, Vendors, and a lunch concessions stand!

■ 2022 Asian Night Market | May 28
Where: Naftgzer Park
The Asian Night Market is inspired by the late night bazaars of Asia, where people come together to enjoy the many local eats, drinks, and arts of Asian cuisine, socialize and experience a new night time entertainment that downtown Wichita hasn’t seen. The Asian Night Market aims to unite and empower the community by serving as a platform for showcasing local talent including performers, chefs, entrepreneurs, and fun for all ages.
