La Isla Cevicheria y Botanas

One of my favorite little gems around town has been La Isla Cevicheria y Botanas. They’ve been at 1935 N. Broadway for nearly seven years. If you love Mexican seafood, it’s a great spot to get your fill of coctel de camaron, caldo 7 mares, oysters, ceviche and more.

With the revitalization of the NoMar, the Old Market Place strip center was given a major facelift and La Isla decided to make the move to 21st and Broadway. Their old location closed last week, and they will celebrate their grand re-opening this Friday, June 3.

Their new space is almost complete and will give them more seating for customers. Hours of operation will tentatively be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Thursday to Monday, and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The owners said the closing time could fluctuate based on how business goes.

A new menu has been finalized and they’ve since made some new additions to the menu. Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect:
