Odd Fellow Hall takes the crown at Wichita Taco Fest

Wichita Taco Fest

After two years off due to the pandemic, Wichita Taco Fest made its return in a big way at the Capital Federal Amphitheater. Thousands of people showed up to watch live music, Lucha Libre wrestling, enjoy food trucks, do some tequila tasting, chug down some margaritas, and most importantly try out tacos upon tacos.

I was part of the judging panel with fellow food bloggers, Bottomless Pit ICT and ICT Broke Girls. We were tasked with eating every taco and sampling all the salsas.

After gorging our bellies with food, it was Odd Fellow Hall who took home the crown as best taco. In second place was Los Compadres.

In the salsa competition, Los Compadres took home the first place plaque, while Los Chinos took second.

At the early part of the day, the heat was pretty intense but calmed down once the clouds and breeze came through. Overall, it was a fun day for all and an event that was a nice return to more festivals in the Wichita area.

Here’s a video recap of our experience at Wichita Taco Fest.
