The food-delivery app, Uber Eats, announced through a press release they will now provide nationwide shipping for select restaurants in New York City, Miami, and Los Angeles (with more cities to come soon).
“Over the last few years (especially during two years of lockdowns with decreased travel), consumers have shared their desire to bring specialty food items straight to their home,” the company wrote in a press release. “But this isn’t just something consumers have asked for. We’ve heard loud and clear, merchants’ desire to diversify their offerings and reach new consumers.”
To access the option, select the “Nationwide shipping” tile via the Uber Eats app or website.
Currently, 17 restaurants around the country offer nationwide shipping through Uber Eats. That list includes:
- Stirred, Not Shaken
- Sabores Market
- Sarge’s Deli
- Wafels & Dinges
- Bludso’s BBQ
- Movita Juice Bar
- Black Angus Steakhouse
- Dreamy Creations
- La Fromagerie
- China Live
- Shin-Sen-Gumi Online Shop
- Lette Macarons
- Pasta Sisters
- Doggi’s Arepa Bar
- Lala’s
- Sergio’s
- Western Bagel
All the restaurants offer free nationwide shipping. But to give you an idea of how much items cost, four French dip sandwiches, 4 club rolls, Au jus and horse radish sauce is $107.25 from Sarge’s Deli. Meanwhile, two racks of BBQ pork ribs from Bludso’s BBQ is $108. Two racks of BBQ pork ribs from Bludso’s BBQ is $108.
Deliveries, which will be made via FedEx, will take between five and seven days. Another key thing to note is most orders are only available in bulk. Most places don’t offer just one sandwich for purchase.
