The latest themed pop-up has opened and it’s a nod to one of the most popular pirates to ever roam the seas, Blackbeard. Introducing Apparition Blackbeard, located at 2120 N Woodlawn Blvd next to Headshots Bar & Grill. Apparition has played host to many themed pop-ups over the years. And like past ones, they went all out.
Apparition Blackbeard takes place every Wednesday through Saturday in June and July, starting at 6 p.m. No tickets are required for entry.
Here’s the description of the new pop-up bar:
Arrr Mateys!
Apparition is setting sail for the high seas! Join the crew of the notorious Blackbeard and explore flavors and sensations like never before!
Whether ye be a gentleman pirate like Stede Bonnet, a clever devil like Jack Sparrow or a dread captain like Blackbeard, we have drinks a plenty for you at this one of a kind pop up bar – and the rum is never gone!
Enter our pirate cove to enjoy souvenir pirate punch bowls, filled with delicious dead man’s treasures, frozen drinks served in coconuts, and GROG!
Whether you are here to carve your destiny and sit on the throne as Pirate King or build a sand castle on the beach – we’ve got you covered!
It’s really cool what the staff did to set the theme for Apparition Blackbeard. Every detail from the tables, music, decor, and even drink menu completely immerses you in a whole new world.
The pop-up bar features hot and cold cocktails named after famous pirates and sea themes.
My favorite was the Mug O’ Grog which was a warm cocktail made with gold rum, bourbon, orange, lime brown sugar, cinnamon and sea salt.
As with their other Apparitions, it only runs for a limited time. Remember, no tickets or entry fee is required, but you do need to be 21 and over. Anybody younger will be walking the plank to the exit doors.
