This summer-themed event is designed with the whole family in mind! Celebrate bees and butterflies and their role as pollinators with crafts, interactive education, and games. The Fidelity Bank Farmers Market is back! Join us in Downtown Wichita on the third Tuesday in June, July and August, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., to browse a selection of goods from local farmers and artisans, rain or shine! It’s fresh and healthy food produced in Wichita, for Wichitans.
■ Sculpture Glow | June 21
Where: Ulrich Museum of Art
An after-hours exploration of the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection as the glow of the evening light settles and the fireflies of summer twinkle. A community and family event celebrating the summer solstice with interactive stations connecting our sculptures and our history.
■ 1 Million Cups | June 22
Where: Groover Labs
1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.
■ 2022 National Theatre on Ice Competition | June 22-25
Where: INTRUST Bank Arena
Wichita Figure Skating Club and Visit Wichita are proud to host the 2022 National Theatre on Ice Competition through US Figure Skating. Theatre on Ice is a form of competitive figure skating that combines the grace of figure skating with the impactfulness of theater and dance. Teams are made up of between eight and 24 skaters and are judged by US Figure Skating judges on technical merit and presentation, with an emphasis on originality, costuming, artistry and musicality.
■ Apparition Blackbeard | June 22-25

Apparition is setting sail for the high seas! Join the crew of the notorious Blackbeard and explore flavors and sensations like never before! Whether ye be a gentleman pirate like Stede Bonnet, a clever devil like Jack Sparrow or a dread captain like Blackbeard, we have drinks a plenty for you at this one of a kind pop up bar – and the rum is never gone! Enter our pirate cove to enjoy souvenir pirate punch bowls, filled with delicious dead man’s treasures, frozen drinks served in coconuts, and GROG! ■ Cookies On Tap | June 23
Where: Wichita Boathouse
Cookies on Tap is a community event to bring Wichita area adult residents together over cookies and craft brews in support of Girl Scouts. The event pairs Girl Scout cookies with craft brews from six local brewers, and provides participants with a sample of each pairing and one full pour of their choice in a special edition take-home cup.
■ Carnival at Field Stations: Dinosaurs | June 22-25
Where: Field Stations: Dinosaurs
Join us at Field Station: Dinosaurs June 23 – 25th for a variety of carnival rides, games and concessions located in our parking lot. This carnival runs each night 6:00 – 10:00p after the Field Station has closed.
■ Bradley Fair Summer Concert Series | June 23
Where: Bradley Fair
Join us for our annual 5-week concert series, every Thursday evening in June. This year, we’re excited to introduce several new music genres from bluegrass to R&B and almost everything in between. Live music starts under the sunset at 7:30 PM.
■ Adult Skate Night | June 24
Where: Carousel Skate Center

■ Anime Festival of Wichita | June 24
Where: Hyatt Regency
Cosplayers unite for the biggest cosplay competition in Wichita. Competitors will battle it out for the title of “Best in Show,” while patrons will enjoy vendors, panel discussions and displays to celebrate a common love for comics, video games and anime characters.
■ The Great Duck Derby | June 24
Where: Rock River Rapids
Cheer for your lucky ducks as they race along the lazy river at Rock River Rapids during the annual Great Duck Derby! Qualifying ducks from each of the 7 heats will earn a spot in the championship race. Ducks in the championship race will have a chance to swim away with up to $1,000 cash! All none winning ducks will then go into the last place race, where last place will take home a prize. Ducks are just $5 a piece.
■ Final Friday Food Truck Rally & Art Party | June 24
Where: Wichita Boathouse
Free for all ages to attend… Over 18 Food Trucks. Lots of Local Artists & Vendors will be set up inside and outside. Booze Trucks, Yard Games, Live Music from 7-10 pm with The Dirty Gentlemen.
■ Affair en Blanc | June 24
Where: It’s a surprise!
Join us at Affair en Blanc ofor a fundraiser to support Metropolitan Ballet. Guests of this outdoor event will enjoy a pop-up picnic at a secret location with live music from the Great Plains Jazz Orchestra. Bring your own picnic or pre-order Parisian-inspired picnic boxes from River City Brewing. Wine will be available to purchase at the event provided by Jenny Dawn Cellars. We encourage guests to dress in all-white, Parisian-inspired fashion as well as bring a decorated tablescape to dine in elegance. The more elaborate, the better! We will be giving out awards to the best dressed and best tablescape of the evening.

The Basketball Tournament (TBT), the 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event televised live on ESPN, will return to Wichita once again in 2022 and is hosted by Visit Wichita and Wichita State University. AfterShocks, the Wichita State alumni team, will serve as the featured team in the eight-team Wichita Regional taking place at Koch Arena, July 22-25.
