■ A Summer of Magic: Harry Potter Dome Theater Experience | July 8
Where: Exploration Place
Exploration Place is bringing the world of Harry Potter to Wichita! Each week our wizard and muggle guests will watch one movie in the series on the dome screen with booming surround sound. Before the show, participate in themed classes and interactives provided by a variety of Hogsmeade shops and magical places. Butterbeer will flow freely and there will be an opportunity to take home muggle artifacts.
■ Nico Hernandez Returns | July 9
Where: Koch Arena
Dubbed a homecoming event for Hernandez, “Nico Hernandez Returns” will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, at Charles Koch Arena. It will meld professional boxers with elite-level amateur fighters and will be the kickoff to a new fight series presented by Ares Entertainment titled “USA Fight Night.” The feature bout of the professional-level portion of the event will feature Nico Hernandez taking on a competitor to be announced in the coming days. In total, there will be five amateur bouts and five professional fights, all card and bouts subject to change.

Apparition is setting sail for the high seas! Join the crew of the notorious Blackbeard and explore flavors and sensations like never before! Whether ye be a gentleman pirate like Stede Bonnet, a clever devil like Jack Sparrow or a dread captain like Blackbeard, we have drinks a plenty for you at this one of a kind pop up bar – and the rum is never gone! Enter our pirate cove to enjoy souvenir pirate punch bowls, filled with delicious dead man’s treasures, frozen drinks served in coconuts, and GROG! Where: Old Town Wichita
Kansas Largest One Day Charity CarShow , 1200+ Vehicles – Bands – Food Vendors – Fireworks, and Much Much More Fun.
■ Art Together: Sidewalk Chalk Extravaganza | July 9
Where: Mark Arts
During the July 9 Art Together: Sidewalk Chalk Extravaganza, have fun in the sun and contribute to a monumental art piece in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland. The piece will be created by a local artist using sidewalk chalk. Play with bubbles by Stickwork, Mark Arts’ new site-specific sculpture, and take photos with our friends from the Flint Hills Fairies. Art Together is a free, recurring community arts event held the second Saturday of the month. Advance registration is requested.
■ AFA Cup by the Arena Football Association | July 9
Where: Wichita Ice Center
The Wichita Force will take on the Magnolia State Spartans for an action-packed fast-paced arena football game in Wichita, KS at the first annual AFA Cup. Game starts at 7 pm!
■ 3rd Annual Shindig w/ Tribal Roots | July 9-10

■ TBT Tournament in Wichita | July 22-25
Where: Charles Koch Arena
The Basketball Tournament (TBT), the 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event televised live on ESPN, will return to Wichita once again in 2022 and is hosted by Visit Wichita and Wichita State University. AfterShocks, the Wichita State alumni team, will serve as the featured team in the eight-team Wichita Regional taking place at Koch Arena, July 22-25.
■ NBC World Series | July 28-August 6
Where: Hutchinson/Eck Stadium
In 2022, the NBC World Series will be split between Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson, KS (July 28-31), and Eck Stadium in Wichita, KS (August 1-6).
