reBorn boutique & marketplace (a.k.a. Blood Orchards) hosted their annual Peachfest event. It brought together many food trucks who were tasked with creating a dish utilizing peaches. There were many delicious treats from Busy B’s, Funky Monkey Munchies, Big B’s Beef and others, but in the end it was Smokin Diner who won with their pulled pork sandwich with peach slaw.
In other news, the popular boba shop Leaf Teahouse at 1912 E Pawnee St. reopened to the public. They had been closed for a bit to do a remodel.
Also reopening recently following a short break is Pho Ong 8 at 3801 E Harry St.
Sharon’s Place in Derby closed for good at the end of July. It was a fantastic and delicious run for the Hawaiian restaurant. They will truly be missed by our restaurant community.
Lastly, here’s a video look back on this year’s Peachfest:
@wichitabyeb The food trucks were tasked with cresting dishes incorporating peaches. What was the event called? Peach Fest of course and it was a great time at Blood Orchards #fyp #Wichita #foodtrucks #peaches #foodies ♬ How You Like That – BLACKPINK
