A new truck has opened in West Wichita in front of J&D Wine and Liquor at 1337 N. Ridge Road. Taqueria Tex-Mex offers burritos, tacos, tortas, enchiladas and taquitos. They have different meats that cover everything, so anybody can find something they like chicken, lengua, al pastor, tripas, adovada, barbacoa, carnitas and more.

I dropped by on a whim because I noticed they were open. Even though, I just had lunch, I felt obligated to give them a try.
My order consisted of six tacos: two adovada, two tripas and two lengua. The menu didn’t have prices listed, but the tacos were $3 a piece.
They were fantastic. The lengua alone was worth it; incredibly tender and flavorful. I asked for my tripas to be grilled, and they were nice and crispy. The adovada was had pieces of pineapple mixed in to give the pork an additional kick of sweetness. I devoured all six tacos in what felt like minutes.
Taco trucks west of 235 in northwest (and west) Wichita are a rarity, so this was a nice little find for the 13th and Ridge area. It’s an area I pass by occasionally and will likely make another stop in the future to try their tortas or burritos.
