It’s always cool to see a locally owned business start from a home-based business. That’s precisely what Keto On With Kerri did. The locally owned, ketogenic, diabetic friendly, gluten-free and sugar-free business started as a home-based meal prep and bakery. They would grow to later sell their desserts and take & bake meals out of The Coop.
And now, they have their owned brick & mortar space at 619 N. Rock Road in Derby, KS.

The new storefront serves as a space to sell their individual heat and eat meals, take and bake family sized casseroles and also cheesecakes, custom cakes, donut holes, Chaffles, pizzas, cookies, pudding, fatbombs, and other sweet treats.
They also have their shelves lined with all sorts of products and foods. I picked up some spicy chicken jerky strips, chocolate from Belgium and Hattie B’s chicken skin strips to take home.
Keto On With Kerri also has a dining space if you choose to eat inside. Here lately, they’ve been offering eat-in lunch specials to take advantage of their seating.
On special, the day I stopped by was chicken salad stuffed avocados with chips. They also had their pho, which I’ve had before and loved. To no surprise, I’m not dieting (but should be) and went with both items. Here’s my Keto On haul.
Like last time, the pho wasn’t necessarily as rich and hearty as traditional pho, but the broth was still delicious. There was more of a zesty, bright flavor along with big chunks of meat thrown over the top.
While I love any take on an Asian dish, I just may have enjoyed the chicken salad stuffed avocados more. This isn’t something I’d order at a restaurant. Since it was their special of the day, I gave it a try and was glad I did.
Fresh avocados with delicious chicken salad stuffed on top…. if this is what eating healthy is like, sign me up.
This keto stuff isn’t my scene, but I branched out, gave it an honest shot and left more than satisfied.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
