I was driving home as dinner was ready. On my way, I passed by a food truck I’ve never seen before called El Sonorense. Then I was presented a dilemma: do I stop by real quick for the sake of a blog? Or do I play the role of good family man and go straight home knowing dinner was waiting?
Well, since you are reading this blog, you know I chose option one.

My order was very light because I had to save room for dinner. They had three taco options on the menu, asada, al pastor and birria. I went with one of each.
The tacos didn’t take long and came with three sauces.
I pulled into the parking lot and ate the tacos so I could hide the evidence from family (even though, there’s a high likelihood they’ll see the proof here).
Food karma got the best of me as the tacos were not good. I didn’t even finish them. The asada tasted as if the meat was reheated over and over. The al pastor had a gritty texture and lacked flavor. Then the birria was probably the toughest birria I’ve ever had in town. All the tacos looked dry when I opened my container, but I was hoping that they tasted better than they looked.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t a winner of a visit. On the bright side, I had dinner waiting for me at home, which was much better.
