More Wichita restaurants have closed in the past month

We’ve covered such restaurants as VietNom Nom and New Neighbors Bar & Grill closing, but there have been some others we haven’t touched upon yet.

Molino's Taqueria

Molino’s Taqueria closed on Friday, Sept. 9 after opening almost four years ago. The restaurant at 2035 N. Rock Road was a build your own burritos, tacos and piratas.

I spoke to owner Mario Quiroz, and he wanted to make sure people knew that his flagship restaurant Molino’s Mexican Cuisine is still open at 1064 N. Waco. The restaurant is a bit different from the taqueria as it’s less of a quick-service style restaurant and more of a sit down, full-service establishment. If you miss Molino’s Taqueria, be sure to swing by Molino’s Mexican Cuisine.

The Forge Bar & Grill has been open for about a year and a half. Located at 1110 W. Harry, the bar and grill also served as a gaming tavern.

They closed permanently at the end of August.

Only one Taco Grande remains in Wichita after their location at 2315 W. 21st Street closed earlier this month. It was located in the same strip center as New Neighbors Bar & Grill, which also closed.

The only Taco Grande in town can be found at 2255 S. Seneca.
