Hockey player in town at Bonefish Grill eating a filet

On the heels of Serena Williams eating at Homegrown here, more big news of athletes dining in Wichita caught my radar.

I was told someone named Robert (also goes by Bob) who plays recreational hockey at the Wichita Ice Center was in Wichita today eating at Bonefish Grill. If you’re curious as to what he ordered, he had a filet.

While Robert, who also finished 2nd place at a Fourth of July cornhole tournament in 2016, doesn’t have the accolades as the tennis star, it’s nice to see other big and not-so-big names eating in restaurants around town. Robert, a 1998 graduate of Wichita Heights High School, has a better chance of going unnoticed than Harrison Ford, Serena Williams, or even Kirstie Alley, but I’ve heard he has a better chance of out drinking any of them as well.

What brought Robert to Wichita is still unknown at this point, but I think because he has two kids and a wife here, may be a good reason why.

Should I find out more, I’ll be sure to update this story.

In unrelated news, it was also shared on Facebook that Doug Ittner had coffee this morning.
