Is M&M Bierock the best in town?

With all the talk about bierocks in Wichita, let’s turn our focus to what very well could be the best option in Wichita in terms of price and quality. You’ve probably driven down east Central and seen the big white sign with the word Bierocks on it. It’s M&M Bierock, arguably the best in town.

M&M Bierock is a drive-thru operation that is open six days a week. They keep the menu very simple, bierock, bierock with cheese and a ham & cheese bierock. There are five sides to choose from that all range from $1.05 on down to 45cents for a pickle.

In terms of pricing, the options run $3.50 for a basic bierock, $3.75 for cheese and $4 for ham & cheese. It’s the most competitive pricing you’ll find in town especially when you take into account the size.

On our latest visit to M&M Bierock, we ordered a regular bierock, bierock with cheese, a side of potato salad, chips and a pickle.

To start, the bierocks had a nice plump size to them. The aroma of fresh bread was an added bonus for my drive home. I would pay for an M&M Bierock Air Freshener in my car.

An issue I’ve had with some bierocks in town came to how airy they are. There was so much empty space. This is how you stuff a bierock.

Every bite had plenty of beef, cabbage and onion. It was truly a perfect blend inside.

At $4 for a bierock, it made for a nice lunch that didn’t leave you feeling so bloated or heavy. It was just the right portion size to leave us happy for the rest of the day. And at that price, nobody else compares on value. The drive-thru also made for a quick and easy lunch pickup. I was in and out in probably 4-5 minutes. So as stated earlier, in terms of pricing, quality and what you get, we really felt M&M Bierock was the best in town.
