Sources have told me that District Taqueria is now officially closed. The taco restaurant that served upscale street tacos, urban street tacos, gourmet street tacos, whatever you want to call it, originally opened in 2014.
They were located at 917 E. Douglas and had a very strong run in their earlier years.
Things definitely slowed down once the pandemic hit. And now, eight years later, District Taqueria is closed.
I’m told the space is now available to anybody looking for a space downtown. Should I hear of any new restaurant or cool business taking over, I’ll be sure to pass it on.
