A new beach-themed bar called The Dive has opened in the Douglas Design District at 1207 E. Douglas. The Dive has a cocktail menu, light blue decor with beach vibes throughout. I stopped by real quick to check it out during their soft opening week.

Inside, there’s plenty of seating throughout the bar.
One exciting addition is their patio, which also has a deck upstairs that’s really cool. I can see this being a great hangout in the warmer months. For what it’s worth, there are space heaters in storage I noticed that weren’t brought out yet.
The Dive won’t have food to start, but food trucks will be available. They also didn’t have their cocktail menu yet because they were saving that for their grand opening.
I asked them to surprise me with a visually appealing (and hopefully delicious) drink and they delivered with this Tropical Island cocktail.
The Dive should be a worthwhile addition to the stretch of Douglas just east of Washington. I’m exciting to see how they progress once they get going.
