Over the years, many of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants have closed. This left a big void for me when it came to pho. There are some really good options in town, but I really can’t say any of them have completely blew me away. That is, until I tried Kim’s Noodles Bar & Grill.
The Vietnamese restaurant recently opened in the former Mojoe’s Bar & Grill and Outskirtz space at 10919 E. Harry.

I didn’t get much in the way of pictures, but did manage to snap some video that’s on my YouTube page. We ordered pho and Vietnamese egg rolls for our lunch. They do have Chinese egg rolls available, but for me, Vietnamese is the way to go.
Unfortunately, they never did bring our egg rolls out so we didn’t get to try Kim’s Noodles’ version.
We did get our bowls of pho, though. I went with the combination bowl with rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatball while Megan went with the rare steak.
Like any bowl of pho, we always sip (I slurp) the pho broth. Megan’s first words were, “I don’t think I need to put anything in here (regarding sriracha or hoisin sauce).” I took my first slurp and had to take pause to pay homage to the broth. It might have been the best broth I’ve had in town. There was a richness to it that warmed our souls. It probably helped also that we think their heater was having issues and we needed something warm.
Regardless, I think everyone knows the broth makes the pho, and that certainly was the case at Kim’s Noodles. There wasn’t one bad thing to say about the bowl of pho.
The first experience alone made their pho shoot up to the top of my list of favorite pho in town. I’m now considering moving to southeast Wichita so I can have it conveniently located by me.
Maybe if I do, I’ll get my egg rolls next time to go with that delicious bowl of Vietnamese soup.
Here’s their menu:
Happy Dining,
Eddy

I was near Oliver and Mt. Vernon and saw a new “Gladiator Arcade and pizzeria” sign (Coming soon). Big yellow sign with a small red logo. In the Former Olivers Italian grill and Bar. Go check it out and see if you can say, “Glad I ate thar”
