Since it was in the morning, I decided to grab some breakfast. There was a sign out front advertising their Big Country Breakfast for $3.99. Here’s the description for the dish from their website.
Braum’s breakfast restaurant is proud to serve up our signature Big Country Breakfast. Fill up on scrambled eggs, your choice of sausage, bacon, or ham, hash browns, and a big, freshly baked buttermilk biscuit with butter and jelly or preserves. You can also try our Big Country Breakfast with sausage gravy. Down home cookin’ at its finest!
At $3.99, I figured it couldn’t hurt to try. It was made ready in about 5 minutes and I took it home, poured some O.J. into a 22 ounce stadium cup shamelessly promoting my favorite website and dug in.
It was definitely a breakfast I’d expect for $3.99. The hash browns were probably my favorite part; nice and crispy. The sausage patty was a little stiff and overcooked. The scrambled egg had the texture as if it were sitting out for hours, zero fluffiness to it. Then there were the biscuits and gravy. The gravy didn’t have much sausage in it and had the consistency of jelly. Meanwhile, the biscuit was stiff.
In hindsight, I should have just had the ice cream for breakfast. On the bright side, the orange juice was refreshing, and the cup didn’t leak.
Here’s the breakfast menu:
Happy Dining,
