After ten years, Ninza Sushi is on the move.
The original location at 8428 W 13th St. N. will have a new home come February. They will be moving across the street to 8641 W 13th St. N. in the space previously held by Vietnom Nom.
Owners are hoping to move during the week of February 20. They will be sharing more details in the coming week. Once a date is announced, they’ll be closed for two days to get everything moved from one location to the other.
The current storefront on 13th street has a limited kitchen space, so the move will give Ninza more room to work with. They will be adding hibachi to the menu along with all the special rolls that can be found at the east side Ninza. Owners are also excited about the new restaurant layout and the addition of a patio.
It’s been quite the story for Ninza, who originally opened on February 25, 2013. Since then, the restaurant has expanded to three locations with another Ninza Sushi at 306 N. Rock Road along with Blue Fin Sake Bar & Sushi at 255 Washington.
Over the past ten years, they’ve been through a lot on top of the expansion. The west side location was closed for eleven months following an accidental electrical fire that destroyed the restaurant in 2017. They’ve made it through a pandemic, lock down, and staff shortages. And throughout the past decade, they’ve worked their tails off and should be proud of how far they’ve come.
When I hear of an official move date, I’ll be sure to share it with you all.
