It’s a big day for DŌMA today as they officially celebrate one year in business.
I remember when news first broke about their opening in Wichita. Many people were skeptical about a restaurant offering small plates to share, others were worried about the price point, while some didn’t know if a restaurant would do well in the Towne East parking lot. They were out to prove people wrong. After opening in January 2021, there were many rave reviews from bloggers, local foodies and the general public.
And now 365 days later, the restaurant at 7703 E. Douglas Ave has made it to the one-year mark.
To celebrate today on January 25, they are offering a special 4-course meal. The menu features your choice of halibut ceviche or Burrata beet salad, then either shrimp bisque or cream of mushroom soup. Moving into the third course, it’s your choice of a petite filet with chianti demi or salmon picada. To end the night, you can go with the tres leches cheesecake or the banana fosters beignets. It’s $65 per person.
And adding to the vibes, Jamie Quick will be playing a set from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.; then the night ends with Rudy Love Jr. from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
