The Basketball Tournament (TBT) and the Aftershocks will return to Wichita this summer

Good news for Wichita this morning. It was announced today that The Basketball Tournament also known as TBT, will make its return to Wichita.

Our city will once again be a regional site for the $1 million winner-take-all event where our Wichita State alumni team, the Aftershocks, will battle it out for the cash prize.

According to GoShockers, The Aftershocks hold an 8-1 record at Charles Koch Arena, where the games take place.

Zach Bush, J.R. Simon, and Garrett Stutz will all be back to serve as co-general managers, with Bush returning as head coach.

Big thanks to the teams at Wichita State University and Visit Wichita for making this happen. If you’ve never been to a game, it’s one of best sporting events in town. Partially because of the Elam Ending and more importantly because it allows many Shocker fans to see some of their past favorites.

Tickets for the TBT games go on sale April 1 (no, that is not an April Fool’s Day joke).
