Wichita’s only African restaurant, Bchic Bar & Grill, will soon be on the move

Bchic Bar & Grill

The African restaurant at 6600 W. Central, Bchic Bar & Grill, has been closed for about a month. This has left people wondering if they were closed permanently. The good news is they are not.

I spoke to one of the owners and was told, they had traveled to Cameroon in January for a family emergency.

The owners have returned and plan to reopen their restaurant on Thursday, Feb. 16. In some more news, it may not be for long because the restaurant will then be on the move.

Bchic Bar & Grill will soon be taking over the Ninza Sushi space at 8428 W 13th St. N. As reported here, Ninza Sushi is also moving to the old Vietnom Nom space at 8641 W 13th St. N.

Ninza Sushi plans to finalize their move by the end of February. After that happens, Bchic Bar & Grill will then move into the space in March. And then, the 6600 W. Central building will once again be empty.

If you’ve never been to Bchic, they are the only restaurant in Wichita specializing in African cuisine spanning various countries. There are also plenty of vegetarian dishes as well.

For more, be sure to follow them on Facebook.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
