Earlier this year, Chuyitos Birrieria closed at their 1415 W. Pawnee. Part of the reason for closing was due to increased rent. And if you’ve ever been to their restaurant, there was a lot of space. Space that often went unused. At first, the owner was unsure if he would reopen, but an opportunity recently came up and it’s time to share the good news now that the signage is up.
Chuyitos Birrieria will be re-opening at 511 N. West Street in the former 511 Club, some people may also remember that being a Yvie’s, located across the street from Bingo Casino.
It’s excellent news for what has been one of my favorite restaurants in town, especially when it came to consomé or birria.
I spoke to the owner this afternoon and he’s aiming for a late May but possibly June opening. You can expect many of your favorite dishes back on the menu when they reopen.
