A new hot chicken restaurant based out of St. Louis, MO is opening in Wichita next week. Chuck’s Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken. The restaurant trims and hand-breads, and fries all of their chicken to order using fresh chicken breasts.
Their website lists the upcoming Wichita location as 2625 W. Pawnee, which is where The Bullet Stop is. Sources have told me that it’ll likely be in an adjoining building of some sort. I have not been able to confirm that yet. This may make sense, though, because most of the other locations seem to focus on carryout and delivery orders. Opening day for Chuck’s Hot Chicken is Tuesday, April 11.
According to the owner, this results in a sandwich with a big and crunchy exterior and a juicy, tender interior. The menu features whole chicken wings, tenders, drumsticks, chicken & waffles, and of course, their signature Nashville hot chicken sandwiches.
Stay tuned for our first look.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
