Sunday, April 23
Wichita Taco Fest – O.J. Watson Park (3022 S. McLean Blvd)
Wichita Taco Fest takes place on Saturday, June 17 and if you want to save $5 on tickets, Sunday is the last day.
$10 GA Early Bird tickets are $10 until the end of day Sunday, April 23rd. After that, tickets go up to $15. So get them NOW if you intend to go.

Monday, April 24
JINYA Ramen Bar – 124 S. Broadway
The new ramen restaurant in the WSU Tech NICHE building had a soft opening event, which we covered here. They will be opening their doors to the public on Monday.
In honor of the big day, they will be offering free ramen to the first 50 people at 11 a.m. for lunch and then more free ramen to the first 50 people at dinner starting at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, April 25
Lito’s – 756 N. Tyler Road
You can read a blip about them here, but the restaurant at 756 N. Tyler Road in the former Angry Elephant space had a soft opening last week and is ready to get the word out to the public. The new restaurant offers a menu of vegan and non-vegan dishes that include tacos, burgers and more.
Thursday, April 27
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria – 1441 N. Webb Road
More New York-style pizza arrives in Wichita when the Brooklyn chain hits the Waterfront Plaza at 13th and Webb. There will be a grand opening taking place on Thursday and a ribbon cutting on Friday morning. This will be the state’s second Grimaldi’s location when they open in the former Zoe’s Kitchen space.
Midwest Winefest
Limited tickets are still available for the Midwest Winefest event that takes place in Old Town. On Thursday, it’s the popular Walkabout which includes stops at local restaurants and venues in Wichita’s Old Town district. Enjoy a variety of food, wines, and music by local talents. This year we bring back the gated area in the Farm and Art Market, where you can visit a number of wine and food spots in this centralized area!
Friday, April 28
Final Friday Food Truck Rally – 515 S. Wichita St.
The latest edition of the Final Friday Food Truck Rally returns this Friday to the Wichita Boathouse courtesy of Xclusive Events. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. You can expect to find the booze truck, live music, local artists, the Tomahawk Truck, yard games, and 20+ food trucks!

Saturday, April 29
ICT Brunch Fest – OJ Watson Park (3022 S. McLean Blvd)
Brunch Fest is Wichita’s fun new event created to showcase our super cool and unique Brunch Scene. Brunch Fest includes a curated and diverse list of 15 local restaurants, caterers, and food trucks showcasing a variety of delicious bites. Each establishment will be serving 1 to 2 different items, which will provide a plethora of options. Attendees can also enjoy Brunch Beverages such as Mimosas, Sangria, Tequila Sunrise and Coffee while supplies last. This event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. I’ll be on hand to judge the event.
Midwest Winefest
While the Walkabout takes place on Thursday, the Reserve Room takes place on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Reserve Room features higher end wines and food at Distillery 244, with a Live Auction.
