Wichita’s second Uptown Cheapskate celebrates grand opening on Thursday

The newest Uptown Cheapskate at the Shops at Tallgrass at 8340 E. 21st St. is officially ready. They have spent the last month buying clothes and preparing the store for the grand opening.

That day is almost here. Uptown Cheapskate will celebrate their grand opening on Thursday, April 20 and will carry the party into the weekend.

Shelves are stocked with shoes, jeans, tops, bottoms, purses, swimsuits, and accessories. Trendy items and many big name brands can be found throughout the store. I dropped by to quick a sneak peek, and literally 1000s of items are waiting for their new home.

The first 200 customers in the door will get a free reusable tote to earn 10% off future purchases forever, plus 10% more when selling to Uptown Cheapskate. (This deal is only valid at the East Wichita location).

Customers will also get to spin a wheel for discounts and prizes ranging from a percentage off purchase, more discounts, sunnies, new beauty items, socks, hair clips, or even food truck items from Snoasis or I Heart Cookies who will be out at random times this weekend.

This is the store’s second location, with their first at 2243 N. Tyler Road.
