Do you have those old friends that when they are in town, you never know what will happen? A college buddy was in town visiting and we decided to go out for drinks. Next thing we knew, we ended up at Blue Night Club, a west side bar and nightclub I haven’t been to in probably 5–7 years.

We dropped in on a Thursday, which was perfect because it was 1/2 price drinks. Plus, DJ LOL was spinning the 1’s and 2’s and Cooper was behind the bar. I have no idea who either were, but DJ LOL was playing some memorable beats and Cooper did a fantastic job, essentially single-handedly taking care of everyone in the bar.
The place was busier than the pictures I’m going to share appear. Each time I saw an area clear up, I snapped some pictures to share, as to hopefully avoid getting people in the shots.
Blu Night Club was definitely a late night bar, as the place started to get packed as the night progressed. It seemed like it was a busy place for restaurant industry employees who stopped by after work.
There was plenty to do besides dancing and drinking at Blu. There was a large patio out back, then there was pool, darts, Golden Tee, and even pong (with cups of water).
We hung out for a couple of hours and the crowd was very eclectic and laid back. It definitely had that dive bar feel with dance music in the background.
And if you’re hungry, they had light snacks like mozzarella sticks, wings, pretzels, fries, and chips. If you are really hungry, they also carry LMNO Pizza.
It was one of those random impromptu evenings, and we had a blast. Sometimes, the best nights are the ones that go unplanned and you go where the evening takes you. It just so happened, this outing took us to Blu Night Club. Good times all around.
Here’s their menu:
