■ Mediterranean Festival 2023 | May 6
Where: St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church
For over 90 years, St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church has celebrated its Mediterranean heritage through public dinners and bake sales. This has been an important and continuous part of our parish life and outreach since our founding, and each May we look forward to continuing that tradition with our annual Mediterranean Festival.
■ Open Streets ICT – Nomar | May 7
Where: Nomar District
Open Streets ICT – NoMar, a FREE neighborhood community-building event along 21st Street for a day of biking, fun physical activities, music, dancing, and much more! We will be closing one mile of 21st Street to traffic from NoMar Market at Broadway Ave. to Woodland Park, and open the street for biking, walking, running, live music and dancing, entertainment, food, art, yoga, and more. Cruise along the one mile stretch and stop at our activity hubs, participating businesses, food, and street vendors.

Join us for our once-a-month vintage shopping event. We reset and restock our almost 5000 sq. ft. warehouse each month so there is always something new to look forward to! Many one of a kind vintage items with a little new sprinkled in so there is something for everyone!

The Phillips Fundamental Learning Center’s 15th annual Garden Party brings together friends, food, flowers, and festive cocktails under the stars for a great cause. Festivities include: Food, Cocktails, silent auction, live auction, seasonal flower and plant sale, live music, and much more!
■ First Fridays Under the Stars! | May 5
Where: Old Cowtown Museum
We will have live music by Profanity on the depot stage, along with live music by Matthew Brown in the Saloon. We will also have food trucks, drink truck, gunfights, games, mini-melodramas and more! The schedule for each Friday will be posted a couple weeks in advance, so watch our page for updates! Admission is just $7/person, Cowtown members, military and teachers get in free!
■ Dueling Pianos for LLS | May 5
Where: Tanganyika Wildlife Park
Join a fun night of Duelong Pianos put on by HiFi Productions. Includes dinner (taco bar by Rent the Chef), silent auction, and cash bar. There will also be a tasting by Wichita Brewing Company. Event is at Tanganyika.

■ Badass Women at WAM: Pulp Fashion Exhibit Tour | May 5
Where: Wichita Art Museum
Join the Badass Women of Wichita Alliance at the Wichita Art Museum for an exclusive tour of the incredible work by Isabelle de Borchgrave in the Pulp Fashion: Fashioning Art from Paper Exhibit. We’ll have our own dedicated docent to give us insider information about the exhibit and a badass activity for a chance to win semi-fabulous prizes. The museum closes at 9 PM on Friday, and we’ll have plenty of time to see more of the museum, visit the gift store, or get a snack in the new 1400 By Elderslie restaurant.
■ Charles in Charge Coronation Watch Party | May 6

Join us for a royal celebration as we gather together to witness the crowning of King Charles III, streamed live in Kemper Theater. The 15th annual Garden Party is a benefit for the Phillips Fundamental Learning Center (PFLC). Leading up to Mother’s Day, the event is a celebration of mothers and their dedication to their children’s education. PFLC’s mission is to empower children, especially those with dyslexia, by teaching them to read, write and spell; educating adults by providing research-based literacy programs for children; and enlightening parents and the broader community to the educational and health needs of their children.
