I LOVE unique, fun events in town that you don’t often see. If they are interactive and engaging, then sign me up! And that’s what I’ll be doing with The Selfie Spot, as they have announced a murder mystery dinner event.
There’s lots to love about the event that will take place just four times in September and October.
Each murder mystery game will begin with a seated dinner. Included are appetizers, a full-course meal including 2 meats and 2 sides, and desserts from Station 8 BBQ and Enticing Icing. ICT Bartending will be serving cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine while guests mingle and have a good time in Halloween-themed photo booths. The whole time, be very cautious as someone will not make it out of The Selfie Spot. Guests will have to solve a fun and interactive mystery to figure out Who Dunnit!
Everyone will play a role to solve the mystery. Each attendee will be assigned a detailed character description 2 weeks before the event. Guests will receive their character with a full description, including costuming and acting tips. They’ll also receive instructions on how to play the non-scripted game, and be provided with secrets and objectives to do during the event that will help solve the mystery and keep the game fun and spontaneous.
At the end of The Selfie Spot’s murder mystery game, the investigator will present the evidence and guests will fill out an accusation form. The investigator will then reveal the murderer. Awards will be handed out to those who solved the murder, the best costume, the most theatrical guest and the player with the most “money” at the end of the night.
Only 20 tickets will be available per event night, which takes place on Sept. 9 and 22 and Oct. 13 and 28. Ticket price includes a 2 1/2 hour interactive murder mystery game, appetizer, dinner, dessert, 1 drink ticket, character assignment and access to the Selfie Spot’s Halloween-themed photo booth.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 23 at 10 a.m. via The Selfie Spot’s website.
